Not one but two wireless music synchronisation apps have been released for Android-powered smarties that allow users to update their music library from a computer without needing a cable.
The first is Winamp, which we already featured in our top 10 roundup of the best Android apps from October. On top of playing music, the app allows you to sync music from a computer via the desktop Winamp player, much like iTunes, except it works over Wi-Fi, too.
The second is the new AirSync app from doubleTwist, makers of the hugely popular file-syncing software of the same name. This also allows you to wirelessly transfer your collection. To get started you need to simply download the app for $0.99 (about the cost of a pack of Real McCoy’s) and the doubleTwist software for your PC or Mac, pair up you phone using a passcode and you’re good to go. The Winamp app is free to download, so be sure to try that one also.
Fandroids would no doubt want to lord these apps over their iFan counterparts, who still have sync their iToys with a cable.
Let the battle commence!
