Angry Birds fans can grab a starring role for their home city in a forthcoming edition of the game by ensuring their Angry Birds Day event is among the best-attended, Rovio has hinted.
December 11th is set to see the first-ever official Angry Birds anniversary, with Tweet-ups for fans set to take place all over the globe. Among the confirmed cities taking part are New York, Barcelona and London, where the fun is pencilled in for Trafalgar Square.
And to give fans further incentive to brave the big outdoors, it has now been revealed that the events that attract the most fans will secure a place in a future version of the title, presumably to be themed around their city’s landmarks.
In response to a Twitter follower’s questions about further updates, Rovio confirmed that it plans to “include the top Angry Birds Day cities in an upcoming game”.
Last week, the company unveiled a Christmas themed update for the Halloween version of its game for Android smartphones and the iPhone. Now renamed Angry Birds Seasons, the title's next iteration is expected, by us at least, to coincide with the Easter break.
