A forthcoming Angry Birds update for iOS devices will allow players to continue games started on their iPhone on their iPad, and vice-versa, games maker Rovio has revealed.
Rovio’s plans for the title were revealed via its Twitter feed in which a follower opined that he is “really wishing I could move my progress in Angry Birds between iPad and iPhone”.
Responding to his entreaty, the company stated: “We hear you, working on that for an update in the future.”
Whether the feature will make it into the next update isn’t yet clear. But even if it doesn’t it looks like there’ll be loads to look forward to.
Not least among the additions we can expect is the long-awaited arrival of the Mighty Eagle smartbomb as an in-game purchase, with which you can clear tricksy levels, 15 new challenges and a slew of achievements to work up to.
Expect the new iteration to drop in the iPhone App Store before Christmas.
