Google Nexus S price cut by Carphone Warehouse

Carphone Warehouse has cut the price of the Google Nexus S, offering Fandroids the chance to grab the second ever Google branded phone for free from £30 per month.

The cheapest contract deals with free phones were previously priced £35 per month over 24 months. The new cheaper Vodafone tariff – also over 24 months - shaves the price by £5 per month, which gets you 300 anytime, any network minutes, unlimited texts and 500Mb of mobile Internet usage.

Meanwhile, O2 is also offering the phone for free from £30 per month, with 18 and 24 month contract options to choose from.

And there’s good news too if you’re not keen on being bound by contracts. As of today, the SIM free price of the handset has been slashed from £550 to £430.

Features of the Nexus S include Android 2.3 out of the box, a five-megapixel camera at the rear and a secondary front-facing snapper for video calling.

There’s also a 1Ghz processor, 16GB of memory and the usual gamut of connectivity options (3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth).
