Apple’s iPhone isn’t new to being lavished with luxury editions and accessories made out of all manners of gems and precious stones. But it’s still hard to control one’s amazement to see a phone that is made out of a meteoric stone and tooth from a 65 million year old predator.
That is the iPhone 4 “History” edition, designed by Stuart Hughes, who has previously brought out an iPad Supreme edition made out of solid gold and numerous other ultra-indulgent versions of mobiles and electronics.
Katherine Hughes, who crafted the iPhone 4 History edition, said: "I have worked before with Dinosaur in the past but I wanted to go fierce on this one hence we sort a tooth, doesn’t come more fierce than that.
“We then splintered and shaved the tooth into the pre-polished meteoric stone both of which were sort from Arizona."
All very impressive. Though we’re not sure if the cosmic debris improves reception, we have to give props to the unique nature of this latest endeavour that is sure to be a hit with collectors. With only ten units for sale, don’t expect this one to collect dust for too much longer.
