Nokia is set to unleash its E7 business smartphone to market in January and it will be landing first on UK network 3.
Announced back in September at the Nokia World expo, the business-focussed E7 was unveiled as the spiritual successor to the 9000 Communicator, which had bought the Finnish smartphone giant its first claim to fame in the corporate circles.
Prominent features of the E7 include a massive 4-inch AMOLED panel that benefits from the same ClearBlack Display technology as the N8, an eight-megapixel snapper with dual LED flash and HD recording skills, and a capacious slide-out QWERTY keyboard with a hinge mechanism that allows the screen to be angled upwards for more comfortable typing.
Like the N8, the E7 also runs on the Symbian3 operating system and is packed with built-in social integration and push e-mail capabilities.
3 said in a statement: “We're pleased to be adding another Symbian 3 device to our smartphone range.
“The Nokia E7 makes the most of our strong 3G network showcasing features such as Email, huge 4" screen for fast browsing and customizable home screens.”
