UK iPhone owners have ordered over £1 million of pizzas from Domino's using the restaurant chain’s application, helping the eateries to bumper annual sales.
The app hit the landmark figure in just over three months, having only launched in September last year.
The company stated: “With the impending launch of an ordering app for Android phones, these figures are expected to continue to rise.”
Overall sales across the chain were up by 17.8 per cent in the fourth quarter to £132.5 million, pushing full year sales to £485.3 million – a rise of 19.2 per cent from 2009.
