We already knew that the phone will be part of the burgeoning Xperia range and that it’d pack shoulder buttons along with a D-Pad and touchpad into its slide phone form factor.
Earlier photos had also shown a touchscreen estimated at around 3.7-inches. Not so. It’s actually four-inches with 854 x 840 resolution, according to the good folks at Engadget who helpfully translated the original report on Chinese site IT168.
Other new nuggets of info include a Qualcomm Adreno 205 GPO under the hood along with a 1Ghz processor from Snapdragon. Perhaps most interesting, though, is the presence of a hitherto unseen app cum game launcher dubbed PlayStation Pocket.
What we’re still in the dark about, however, is whether the handset will run PSP games that you can purchased in a physical format or whether it’ll be download only.
It’s odd indeed that for all the multiple leaks, we’ve yet to even the merest hint of what kind of titles we can expect. Still we’re sure all will become clear when it SE finally lifts the lid on the fabled device at next month’s Mobile World Conference.
