The next gen iPhone will rock a more expansive screen, leaked snaps suggest, putting on a par display-wise with the latest Android kit.
Speculation over the dimensions of the display that’ll feature in the iPhone 5 stems from a snap sourced by Chinese site Idealschina.com, which was subsequently picked up on by the good chaps at 9 to 5 Mac.
The panel features a window for a screen estimated to be around four inches – which would put it broadly in line with Android phones from HTC and Samsung, and a significantly smaller bezel.
News of developments down Cupertino-way come amid the usual spate of rumour-mongering that accompanies Apple’s annual product refreshes.
Other mooted specifications for the iPhone 5, which is expected to land in June, include support for Near Field Communication technology to enable users to make contactless payments a la Oyster Cards and expandable storage via microSD card. Reports also suggest that it’ll house a physical QWERTY keyboard and an A5 dual core processor.
