The LG Optimus 2X will be coming to the 3 network, a Tweet from the carrier strongly suggests.
3 signalled its plans to carry the dual core processor toting smartphone on its official feed when it posted a link to LG’s promo video for the handset, along with the none too cryptic statement: ‘Something big is coming.”
In so doing it appears to have to become the second UK network to get on board with the handset, after Vodafone earlier this week confirmed it’ll be offering it on contracts from March.
Features of the Optimus 2X include a 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, a four-inch touchscreen, 8GB of internal memory with scope to boost this by up to 32GB via microSD card support and Android 2.2 out of the box.
It’ll also offer a front mounted 1.3 megapixel camera for video calling and an eight megapixel number on the rear, complete with HD video recording in full 1080p, for proper snapping and mini movie making.
