A previously unheard of LG phone has been spotted in a German network handset inventory, suggesting that the South Korean phone maker could have a few surprises up its sleeve for the Mobile World Congress (MWC).
The product listing for the Optimus Speed (see the fourth phone down in the snap below) cropped up on the same inventory that also brought us the similarly mysterious HTC Pyramid.
Currently, specs for the upcoming LG phone remain a mystery. However, going by its name it’s likely to be another dual core processor-packing Android smartphone along the lines of the Optimus 2X.
News of a spanking new addition of the Optimus range follows confirmation that the MWC will see the official unveiling of the Optimus 3D – the first ever 3D smartphone that does not require special glasses.
The expo is expected to also be marked by the arrival of a host of HTC devices, including its debut tablet computer and sequels to the best-selling Desire and Wildfire Android phones.
