World of Goo, the innovative Nintendo Wii title you may or not recall from two years back, looks set to land on the iPhone at long last this March.
The physics-based puzzler was originally announced for the iPhone in 2009 and even featured on our ten most anticipated iPhone games of last year, but disappointed us to no end as it increasingly appeared to be vapourware.
Well, the good news is that it’s still in development after the game’s developer 2D Boy officially announced in its blog that it is adding final touches to the game and hopes to have it released next month.
In case you’re wondering, World of Goo, as the name kinda suggests, is set in a world full of some sticky black stuff called ‘goo’ that players must manipulate to build structures, such as bridges and towers, to help balls of goo reach the end of the level. It’s incredibly addictive and despite the painfully long gestation period, we've got a feeling it'll be well worth the wait when the iPhone version lands on the App Store imminently.
