The Facebook app for Android phones has been revamped, bringing some smart new features for sociable smartfans.
Facebook 1.5.2, which brings the Android version of the app up to speed with its iPhone edition counterpart, enables users to upload snaps directly to friends’ walls as well as to groups. A bit of tweaking on Facebook’s part also means that snaps will always upload in the orientation they were taken in.
Security has been improved boosted too via SSL and the app now works better when in landscape mode. Plus, there’s some fixes for persistent bugs as well.
News of the retooled app comes after Google last month blocked Facebook users’ contacts from appearing in their handsets' address book when owners updated to the Gingerbread version of Android.
