HTC’s first-ever 3D phone is coming to Europe, the phone and tablet-maker's French division has announced.
HTC France disclosed plans to bring the hitherto US-only handset across the pond via its Twitter feed. Alas, there were no clear indication as to when that might happen.
The tweet stated: "Un #HTC Evo 3D pour la France ça vous dit? Nous oui! Et même qu'il garde le même nom ;) Date de dispo non confirmée.”
In case your demotic schoolboy French fails you, that loosely translates as: “An HTC Evo 3D for France did you say? We say yes. And it’ll even keep the same name ;) Date of release yet to be confirmed.”
The Evo 3D is set to be second 3D-capable handset to hit Blighty after the LG Optimus 3D. Both phones pack comparable spec sheets, including Android 2.3 out of the box, dual core processors and stereoscopic technology to attain the 3D effect.
Naturally, they also offer 3D video recording and stills and don’t require you to wear silly glasses to enjoy media in three dimensions.
