Online retailer has broken cover with HTC Flyer pricing, offering the slate for the not inconsiderable sum of £600 sans contract.
Users can pre-order the slate from Clove now, with the product listing showing a due date of April. Earlier indications had suggested that it wasn’t landing until much later in Q2.
The £600 price point is by no means official and, as is the way with such things, could well change. That’s something underscored by the fact that German retailer Cyberport is offering the Wi-Fi only version of the Flyer for just €499 – or £425.
Unveiled at the Mobile World Congress earlier this month, HTC's first-ever slate will run the tablet optimised Honeycomb edition of Android out of the box and pack a seven-inch LCD display.
It’s also home to a rear mounted five-megapixel snapper, a secondary 1.3-megapixel camera at the front for video calling, stylus support for easy note-taking and 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor to keep everything ticking over.
