The Motorola Atrix Android smartphone is coming to T-Mobile in June, the carrier has confirmed.
T-Mobile’s plans to range the Atrix were confirmed by its appearance on the network’s coming soon handsets web page.
Prior to this, T-Mobile’s partner network Orange was the only carrier to have got on board with the Atrix, which appears to be struggling to find support in a crowded Android phone market.
Features of the Atrix include Android 2.2 out of the box - somewhat disappointing given that most incoming Android smarties will pack the newer 2.3 version of the OS). However, all being well, we’ll get an update to the newer platform iteration soon after it drops.
Elsewhere, there’s the fast-becoming-standard dual core processor to give the Atrix some real grunt under the hood, plus a four-inch qHD touchscreen and 16GB of on board memory.
Dual snappers are present and correct too, with a rear mounted five megapixel number for vanity shots and a front-facing VGA camera for all your video calling needs.
Would-be buyers also get a slew of docking options including Desk Dock, Laptop Dock and Multimedia Dock. The latter enables users to view 1080p video on a remote screen, while the laptop dock includes a full size 11-inch screen, as well as a keyboard and mouse.
