Samsung is set to unveil a slimmed down, 8.9-inch edition of the Galaxy Tab, a press event teaser suggests, as it bids to bring a version of the device to market to cater for size fetishists across the board.
The South Korean phone maker had been rumoured to be prepping an as yet unseen addition to the Android powered Tab range for some months, having already showcased 10.1-inch and 7-inch versions at the Mobile World Congress last month.
That now looks a racing certainty, going by a post in Sammy’s Facebook page advertising its presence at the Mobile Unpacked expo happening on March 22nd in Florida.
Somewhat less than cryptically, the post asks” What’s your TAB life?” and includes the numbers 78910 emblazoned across an image of its slate challenger.
Specifications for the device are as yet unconfirmed. But like its closest cousins, we expect it to run Android 3.0 out of the box and feature a Super AMOLED display and dual snappers for video calling.
