UK Windows Phone 7 (WP7) smartphone owners will be able to get on board with the NoDo platform update from next week, carriers have announced.
The long-awaited update, originally scheduled to drop back in January, brings some much-missed features to WP7 handsets. Not least copy and paste functionality, some bug fixes and all-round performance optimisations.
Yesterday, Microsoft confirmed it had finally begun rolling out the OS to select non-branded phones across Europe. Now, UK networks have broken cover with their plans to push out NoDo, with O2, Orange and T-Mobile set to make it available from next week.
Vodafone hasn’t been that specific. But has disclosed that the update has passed network testing and that it plans to push it your way “in due course”.
Earlier this month, Microsoft said the delay to the update was to allow it to iron out kinks and potential problems, after an earlier OS bump rendered some phones inoperable.
