Images of what is purported to be a follow-up to the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro have cropped up online.
The snaps of the hitherto unseen handset, which comes to us courtesy of Chinese site IT168.com, reveal that the successor to the micro-sized smartie will run Android 2.3 out of the box.
At this point it’s impossible to discern what else the phone will offer, other than that like its antecedent it’ll house a slide out QWERTY number. It’s to be hoped that this time out, it might be a little more responsive and easier to use, though.
The Mini Pro 2 (that’ll have to do for a name for the foreseeable future) joins a host of Xperia branded Android handsets coming to market in the next few months.
Last week saw the release of the Xperia Play, after years of waiting for a so-called PlayStation phone.
Meanwhile, this month will be marked by the appearance of the Xperia Arc, which also packs Android 2.3 out of the box, a slimmer than slim design and a beefy dual core processor.
