Mozilla has launched a new ‘Beta’ application for its mobile Firefox browser for Android to give users a sneak peek of hot new features ahead of their official release.
Firefox Beta, which is an entirely separate application to the existing browser, is aimed at giving users the ability to voluntarily test run features and functions still in development well before they are added to the stable release of Firefox for mobile.
Users can then give the Mozilla team feedback based on their experience to help improve the features as well as suggest new ideas.
The current version brings a new privacy toggle in the Settings menu that can be switched on to stop user's site visits from tracking or storing information about their browsing behaviour that may otherwise be used for targeted advertising.
Users will still have access to all the features of the current browser such as Sync, Add-ons and the so-called Awesome Screen.
Firefox Beta for Android is available to download right now from the Android Market.
