Windows Phone 7 Mango to get Facebook Chat, Office 365 and more

The first major update to Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 (WP7) platform – Mango – is looking increasingly sweeter, as yet more features leak ahead of its scheduled roll out.

On top of previously known enhancements for the upcoming OS bump, such as the ability to identify songs Shazam-style, speech-to-text recognition for SMS missives, turn-by-turn navigation for Bing Maps and a native podcast player, WP7 lovers can now also look forward to Facebook Chat integration within the Messaging app, Office 365 with SkyDrive and SharePoint support, and a revamped Games hub with better Xbox Live integration, plus a mysterious ‘Automatic Sync’ option.

The lock screen is also improved and will now display album art (where available) for any music currently playing. A group messaging option seems to be also onboard but not much else is known.

Mango is due for release before the end of this month. Are you excited about the update? Let us know in the comments section below.
