Cut the Rope could make its long-awaited debut on the Android platform this week, a Tweet from a mysterious, newly created account suggests.
The hit title arrived on iOS devices late last year, picking up a host of fans for its post-Angry Birds blend of goofy, cutesy cartoon graphics and simple, puzzley gameplay.
Six months later, the game has yet to make its way to Google’s platform. But that won’t be the case for much longer according to CTRAndroid who has hinted via Twitter that Cut the Rope’s hero Om Now will be crossing the OS divide on Friday.
There’s no explicit mention of Android in the Tweet. But the fact that the account holder has inundated Android news sites and only Android news sites with the news suggests that it’s very much not a WP7 or Symbian port we’re talking about here.
Less clear, though, is where you’ll actually be able to buy it and whether it'll be available in the UK. Worst case scenario for us in Blighty is that, as with a recent instalment of Angry Birds, it’ll go on sale exclusively at the US-only Amazon App Store initially.
