The spec set for what is purported to be the third Google branded smartphone have leaked online, as the search giant once again looks to show its manufacturer partners just what it expects from handsets running its Android OS.
According to Boy Genius Report, which was hipped to the phone’s features by an unnamed source, the Nexus 3 will pack either a dual core 1.2GHz processor or an even more powerful 1.5GHz Snapdragon number.
And further augmenting all that brawn under the hood is the upcoming Ice Cream Sandwich version of Android (in its untainted vanilla flavour, of
course), plus 1GB of RAM. Oh, and if you’re in the US where 4G networks are up and running you’ll also benefit from super fast web connectivity too.
Elsewhere, it’s apparently home to a display dubbed “monster sized”, plus a five-megapixel snapper. There’s no mention of a front-facing camera, but given that these feature on every current high-end Android kit, you can take it as read that one will be on board.
Release dates? Well BGR reckons it’ll land Stateside for Thanksgiving in November, which tallies neatly with the Nexus S’s street date last year.
