HTC’s latest, fastest Android smartphone yet, the Sensation, is now available to pick up on all the major networks in the UK, following an end to Vodafone’s 30-day exclusivity for the handset.
Punters who haven’t already snapped up the much-hyped, first-ever dual core smartie from the House of HTC with Voda, can now bag it with O2, Orange, T-Mobile and Three on a range of contract deals via independent vendors.
The release from single-carrier exclusivity also means HTC can finally compete with a several new dual core handsets released lately, namely the Samsung Galaxy S 2, the LG Optimus 2X and the Motorola Atrix.
Like the Galaxy S 2, the Sensation also packs a 1.2GHz dual core processor, making it the joint fastest smartphone currently in market. It is also powered by the Gingerbread iteration of the Android operating system and sports the latest, version 3.0, of HTC's bespoke Sense UI.
Elsewhere there is a 4.3-inch display with qHD (540 x 960) resolution, an eight-megapixel camera with dual LED flash that shoots HD videos in 1080p and a glut of extras and connectivity options (think: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, et al).
Stay tuned for further announcements regarding price plans for the Sensation with said networks.
