Images of what is purported to be a new Android smartphone from the House of Sony Ericsson have leaked online.
Perhaps best dubbed a slimmed down, lower-end version of the Arc, the Urushi features a 3.2-inch touchscreen, compared with its older brother’s 4.2-inch display.
Pleasingly, however, the Urushi will feature the same BRAVIA Mobile engine technology from Sony’s high-end tellyboxes that made the Arc’s screen such a doozie.
Elsewhere, it’s rumoured to pack Android 2.3.3 (Gingerbread) out of the box with SE’s much improved custom skin slathered over the top, plus a 1GHz Snapdragon processor and an Adreno 205 CPU to keep everything running tickety boo.
And rounding off the package in true SE style is an eight-megapixel snapper with LED flesh and 720p HD video recording.
Right now, there’s no word on release dates or UK availability. But we’ll be sure to shout up as soon as we hear anything.
