A handset purported to be the next HTC Windows Phone 7 effort has leaked online, giving us an early glimpse at the future of kits powered by Microsoft’s OS.
Dubbed the HTC Eternity, the smartie, which was unearthed by the fine folk at HTC Inside, will run the forthcoming Mango iteration of the Windows Phone platform. That means we’re probably looking at a release date around September.
Heading up what’s a pretty neat spec sheet is a whopping WVGA 4.7-inch display that almost pushes the device into tablet territory, plus an eight megapixel rear mounted camera and 1.3 megapixel, front-facing secondary snapper for video calls.
Elsewhere, there’s a 1.5GHz processor of the single core variety, all your common or garden connectivity options and 16GB of storage space for apps, movies, music and the like.
Unveiled in May, Mango brings some 500 new features to Windows Phones. Among the pick are faster app switching, Facebook and Twitter integration with notifications pushed onto live tiles and threaded emails.
