More evidence that Samsung is prepping a monster-sized take on the Samsung Galaxy S2 has surfaced online, in the form of what appears to be an official product listing and spec sheet.
According to Korean site MT.co.kr, the handset is set for launch in the UK in September – setting up what could be a battle royale with the iPhone 5 and the first batch of Windows Mango smartphones.
Apart from a 4.5-inch screen featuring Sammy’s trademark Super AMOLED Plus tech (the original S2 features a 4.3-inch display), the phone is unchanged from the best-selling Android kit.
That means it’s home to an eight-megapixel camera with LED flash, 16GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot and Android 2.3 (aka Gingerbread) with Samsung’s TouchWiz custom skin slathered over the top.
Also under the hood of the handset, which is variously being codenamed codenamed the Celox and the Hercules, is a dual core 1.2GHz processor to keep things running lickety-split and, in the US at least, 4G support for super fast mobile web browsing.
