The Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro is available now on Vodafone, teaming social networking smarts with the latest version of Android and a compact form factor.
Voda is offering the touch and type smartie for free on a two-year contract at £25 per month. That’ll snare you 500 minutes, 250 texts and 500MB of mobile data per month.
In case you missed the memo, the latest addition to SE’s Xperia range’s big USP is the Facebook Inside Xperia feature, which bakes Facebook functionality right into the handset's various stock applications.
This means that events you’re attending on FB are automatically added to the Mini Pro’s calendar, while snaps you’ve been tagged in will appear in the gallery.
And there’s a media facet too that means you’ll now be able to access Spotify playlists and YouTube your chums have posted on Facebook too.
Other than that, the phone stands out for its physical QWERTY keyboard for tapping out status updates and e-missives, a three-inch touchscreen with Sony’s Bravia TV tech on board and the up to the minute 2.3 version of Android – aka Gingerbread.
Rounding things off neatly is a five-megapixel rear-facing camera and a secondary VGA snapper for video calls.
