HTC Sensation owners on Three can look forward to some update love this week, giving said handset a very welcome, swizzy overhaul.
Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread landed for Sensation users on O2 this week and dropped on Vodafone the best part of a month ago.
Now Three customers with HTC’s flagship kit are joining the party. At least that’s the plan, as confirmed by the network’s customer support Twitter feed.
Responding to a query about the OS bump’s whereabouts, Three stated: “The update has been approved and passed back to HTC. Just waiting for them to release it this week.”
So what does the newer version of Android 2.3.4 bring to the handset? Well if it’s new features that float your boat, there’s nary a thing to get excited about.
However, it does offer a slew of performance enhancements, including faster screen responsiveness and browsing, as well as improved video playback and Wi-Fi connectivity.
What’s more, it’ll also reportedly fix some irksome bugs, putting the kybosh on the battery overheating problems reported by some users.
