The official Facebook app for Android has been updated with a number of new privacy and sharing features and UI tweaks.
Version 1.7, available today, allows you to finally tag friends and places in posts and apply privacy controls on posts that mirror your settings on the website.
The Profile page has been redesigned, as well as Group Walls, which look much cleaner and load faster than before. Messages and Notifications have been improved too, with quicker alerts for e-missives and whatnot.
Also on board is a ‘pull down’ gesture to refresh the screen just like the iPhone, plus fixes for bugs and random crashes.
The update brings the Android app one step closer to its iOS counterpart, which also received a similar update last week. You can grab it right now for free from the Android Market.
