Windows Mango phones rocking Beats by Dre sonic smarts are on the way soon, HTC has revealed, as it looks to get the most of its $300 million deal with Hip-Hop beatmaker Dre Dre.
Right now, the sole HTC phones confirmed to pack Beats tech are the Vigor and the Sensation XE. Both of which, you’ll have noticed, run Android.
But that’s not to say that Beats audio is reserved exclusively for HTC kits powered by Google’s platform. According to a company rep quizzed by SlashGear, HTC is working on bringing it to Windows Phone Mango smarties right now.
Whether than means it’ll be on board the first Mango efforts from the House of HTC, which are expected to drop in time for the Q4 rush, is a different matter.
Assuming those kits, dubbed the Titan and the Radar, incorporate Beats in the same way as the Android phones, they’ll come equipped with a free pair of the audiophile’s choice of high-end headphones in the box. And we can also look forward to a specially created sound profile courtesy of Dr Dre to enable owners to hear his tunes the way intended.
