Remember this rather unappetising looking photo of a plate full of sushi, supposedly captured by an iPhone 5? Well, turns out it was probably taken at Apple’s headquarters.
PocketNow, which originally uncovered the picture, initially posited that the snap was taken by an Apple employee having his lunch. Since then, the good folk over at TechCrunch have done some more digging through the EXIF data and found the GPS co-ordinates of where the photo was taken, 37.33216667,-122.03033333. That’s 1 Infinite Loop, aka Apple’s HQs.
Of course, it’s entirely possible to manipulate images, including their EXIF data, so this may all have been an elaborate hoax by a cruel, but clever prankster. However, on the off chance this is the real deal, it would mean iFans’ wish for an eight-megapixel camera is finally coming true.
