The third-ever Google-branded smartphone is set for launch at Samsung’s Mobile Unpacked event next week, a promo clip has all but confirmed.

Although there’s no specific mention of the Google Nexus Prime, which Samsung is manufacturing on behalf of the search giant, the video is packed with pointers that the handset will get its big reveal at Sammy’s beano on October 10th.
Not least among these is the slogan “something big is coming", which we’re choosing to interpret as a none-too-veiled reference to the Google Nexus Prime’s vast 4.65-inch SuperAMOLED display.
And there’s more. Throughout the video are examples of things from everyday life that complement each other (CF: a crisp newspaper with your morning coffee).
What to make of this? Well, given that the examples cited are written side-by-side in the dark blue used for Sammy’s logo and the minty green of Google’s Android mascot, we think you can probably draw your own conclusions.
Alongside a display that almost pushes it into tablet territory, the unannounced handset is also expected to be a thinner bit of kit than its predecessor, the Nexus S. The one-second glimpse of it we're afforded in the video also suggests it'll rock a concave form factor.
Meanwhile, under the hood we can reportedly look forward to a five-megapixel camera with 1080p HD recording, a 1.5GHz dual core processor, the latest Ice Cream Sandwich version of Android out of the box and 1GB of RAM.
