Product listings for Apple’s fifth-generation iPhone as well as the rumoured 4S variant have been sighted on the website of US regional carrier Cincinnati Bell.
Unearthed by Tuaw on the prepaid section of the site, placeholders for the handsets suggest that Cupertino may yet unveil two iPhones at tomorrow’s event.
They also reveal possible specs we can look forward to. The iPhone 5, for instance, will come in at least a 32GB model with a four-inch panel, an eight-megapixel camera and ‘4G Data Speeds’. The regular price for the handset has been set at $699.99 but the network is offering an instant saving of $60.
The iPhone 4S, meanwhile, will come in a 16GB variety. This will pack a five-megapixel camera and a 3.5-inch screen – same as the iPhone 4. However, it will also house an A5 processor like the iPad 2.
It will also be significantly cheaper, just as rumours would have us believe. Regular price is $400, but will be slashed to just $99.99 after a special money-off discount, details of which have not been clearly specified.
Despite Apple hinting at only one forthcoming phone in invites to tomorrow's showcase event sent out to the press, the iPhone 4S was allegedly leaked in a recent beta release of iTunes. However, a source close to Tuaw claims no such leak was found, which would only mean it was a hoax.
In either case, we will find out for certain tomorrow when Cupertino opens its doors at 10AM PDT to announce whatever it’s been working on since last summer.
