Well, the first mobile deals weren’t far behind, with Phones4U offering the Mango-powered device for free from just £26 per month on a two-year contract.
Bundling in 400 minutes, 3,000 texts and 250MB of data into the bargain, the Lumia 800’s price point healthily undercuts the iPhone 4S, pitching the flagship Nokia phone firmly against popular Android competition like the Samsung Galaxy S II and HTC’s Sensation range.
With a premium handset and an equally pricey advertising push, Nokia looks to be coming out swinging with their latest. But whether it will convince consumers to opt for Windows over the competition remains to be seen.
