The Nokia Lumia 800 in pink will not be available until December, sources abreast of matters have told tech heads at Pocket-Lint.
The positively adorable colour variant will reportedly not meet its due date this Wednesday when the Lumia 800 officially goes on sale in Blighty. It will instead launch in Christmas just in time for the holiday spending spree.
The ‘very trusted source’ also revealed the hotly awaited pink edition of the handset will hit store shelves in early 2012, dashing our hopes for a very merry Christmas.
Still, true smartfans won’t mind the standard slick-as-a-seal black version either. Billed as the ‘first true Windows Phone’ handset, the Lumia 800 rocks a 3.7-inch ClearBlack AMOLED display, a 1.4GHz processor, an eight-megapixel snapper with Carl Zeiss optics and 16GB of internal storage.
It also runs the freshest, fruitiest Mango iteration of Windows Phone, which brings some 500 new features to the platform, including a webOS-style multitasking interface, deeper social networking integration and the latest Internet Explorer 9 release out of the box.
Customers can pre-order the Nokia Lumia 800 right now Three, Vodafone, Orange and T-Mobile, as well as high street retailers Phones 4U and Carphone Warehouse and several online vendors.
