The Samsung Galaxy Note will finally go on sale on O2 this month, giving users the chance get their hands on a kit that blends tablet-style dimensions with smartphone functionality.
O2 has just added the ‘other’ major Galaxy-branded release of Q4 to the ‘coming soon’ page of its website, where we’re promised it’ll land sometime in November.
Alas, pricing remains a mystery right now. But if the SIM free prices listed online are anything to go by, the Note is likely to be available for free on contracts starting from £35 per month.
O2 joins Orange, Vodafone and T-Mobile in ranging the Galaxy Note. However, Three last week officially confirmed via Twitterthat it has no plans to offer Sammy’s kit, no doubt due to the sheer breadth of flagship kits vying for consumers’ attention this quarter (CF: Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Nokia Lumia 800 and iPhone 4S).
Along with a slate-esque 5.3-inch Super AMOLED HD display with 1280 x 800 resolution, the Android-powered Note is home to an eight-megapixel camera, secondary two-megapixel snapper and a 1.4GHz dual core processor.
It also offers stylus support for note-taking via something Samsung dubs an Advanced Smart Pen, enabling you to doodle on the screen and take meeting minutes and whathaveyou.
