A video of what is purported to be Sony Ericsson’s (SE) first-ever Android Ice Cream Sandwich-toting smartie have surfaced online, as the handset-maker looks to make good on the success of the Xperia range.
Check out the video below
The clip depicts a handset that's apparently provisionally dubbed the Nyphon and which is reportedly rocking Sony Ericsson’s 1.2GHz dual core proprietary NovaThor U8500 processor.
Given that this is capable of supporting some impressively megapixel-ed snappers (up to 20MP is the received wisdom), we could see a lens of real quality on board.
It’s also said to be home to a screen with 540x960 resolution. Measurements aren’t available, but it looks to be four-inches-plus to us.
As it stands, there’s no news of a release date for the Nyphon. But it’s most likely one to pencil in for the Mobile World Congress in February.
