Specs for a music-focussed, wallet-friendly Android phone from the House of HTC have leaked online, as the company gears up to showcase a suite of new handset challengers at next month’s Mobile World Congress (MWC).
Purportedly dubbed the HTC Primo, the upcoming kit will apparently pack Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) out of the box and feature the same Beats by Dre audio smarts as the HTC Sensation XE.
According to Stuff.tv, which was tipped off by an insider with knowledge of goings-on down at HTC, the phone will also rock the fourth major iteration of the gadget-maker's Sense Android custom skin, as well as a none-too-shabby 3.7-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen.
Completing the picture is a 1GHz dual core processor, a five-megapixel snapper with 720HD video recording and 512MB of RAM.
Availability and whether HTC will cut costs by dispensing with the free Beats headphones that come with its premium Beats-branded smarties remains unclear.
However, we’re almost certain to know more come February’s MWC expo, when the Primo is a dead cert to tip up along with the quad core processing-packing HTC Edge and the HTC Ville.
