T-Mobile has cut the asking price for the iPhone 3GS and the Android-powered HTC Desire S for a limited period, as part of its January sale.

The iPhone 3GS is available for free at £15.42 per month over a 24-month contract, with monthly allowances of 50 minutes, 50 texts and 500MB of 3G web usage per monthly.
Spec-sheet highlights of Apple’s kit take in 8GB of on board storage and a 3.2-megapixel camera, plus a choice of hundreds of thousands of apps on offer from the App Store.
Meanwhile, HTC’s challenger is up for grabs for £20.42 per month. As well as a free handset, that entitles takers to 600 any network, any-time minutes, 500 texts and 500MB of mobile data per month.
Running Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) out of the box overlaid with HTC’s Sense custom user interface, the HTC Desire S also packs a 3.7-inch LCD touchscreen, dual cameras and a 1GHz 8255 Snapdragon processor to keep everything ticking over smoothly.
