Samsung has once again hit out at perceived shortcomings of Apple smartphones in a TV ad, adding further frisson to the ongoing legal wrangles between the two tech giants.

Last year, a TV spot for Sammy tore into typical Apple fanboys for their supposed pretensions to creativity as well as the iPhone 4S’ spec sheet shortcomings next to the amply tooled-up Samsung Galaxy S2.
Today, Sammy is at it again. In a clip entitled ‘Samsung’d”, it’s Apple’s phone’s navigation smarts that are in the firing line, in contrast with the S2’s built-in, free turn-by-turn nav capabilities.
Apple’s disappointing decision to retain the iPhone 4’s design (A.K.A Jonathan Ive’s masterpiece, if you believe the truly obsessive iFans) for the 4S is also the subject of a subtle dig.
Samsung’s commercial comes amid a courtroom spat with Apple that has seen the companies file tit-for-tit lawsuits accusing one another of patent violations.
The contretemps kicked off when Apple accused Samsung of “slavishly” copying the design and technology of the iPhone and iPad for the Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Tab tablet.
