Snaps of the upcoming Sony Ericsson ‘Nozomi’ Xperia HD - previously known as the Arc HD - have been leaked on the interweb courtesy of a shadowy tipster.
The good folk over at ITProPortal have got their mitts on a bunch of photos of the Xperia HD from a ‘trusted source’ ahead of its official unveiling which is expected to happen at next week’s CES expo in Las Vegas.
The shots reveal a kit noticeably taller, but squarer than the Xperia Arc S, sporting what appears to be a 4.3-inch display. According to the source, the screen rocks a native HD resolution at 720p (1280 x 720), as had been widely speculated, as well as a positively brawny 1.5GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8660 chipset and a 12-megapixel camera.
Also on board are 8GB of internal storage, but apparently there is no microSD slot, which makes for a surprising omission given the handset’s HD credentials.
That aside, what’s there is still pretty impressive and the handset itself looks none-too-shabby either. And if it’s indeed CES-bound, we won’t have to wait much longer to find out more.
