Fans of video game franchise Soul Calibur will be pleased to know that an iOS version of the classic fighter will soon be making its way to Apple’s iDevices.
Namco Bandai has officially announced that a port of the original Soul Calibur that launched as an arcade title back in 1998 will be released on January 19th for the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S, the iPad 2 and the iPod touch 4G.
The iOS version will boast all 19 fighters from the original game. And there's an array of fighting modes too, such as time attack, arcade, practice and museum. Plus there are survival and extra survival modes, which support Game Centre Leaderboard.
The title lands just weeks before the launch of the fifth major instalment of the Soul Calibur, due to land on consoles and arcade on February 3rd.
Pricing for the iOS title hasn’t been revealed yet, but expect it to be broadly in line with similar ports.
