The first and only official photo of LG’s forthcoming successor to the Optimus 3D has surfaced online.
The imaginatively titled Optimus 3D Max sports a white shell with a metallic rim similar to that of the iPhone 4S and possibly no front-facing buttons, at least based on what we can make out from the snap, anyway.
It looks rather slick, if we’re honest, and could even pass off as a distant cousin of the Samsung Galaxy S2, which may or may not be totally coincidental.
Although details are still thin on the ground, changes mooted to be on board the sequel include a higher resolution HD AH-IPS display and a slimmer design at 9.8mm. And it's at least 20g lighter, too.
LG is almost certain to announce the handset at Mobile World Congress later this month. Stay tuned for our full coverage leading up to events.
