The latest Belle update to Nokia’s Symbian operating system is currently being rolled out to a range of handsets.
Belle, which succeeds the Anna iteration of the soon-to-be-phased-out platform, is available to download as of today for the Nokia N8, E7, E6, C6-01 and C7 smartphones, with the Nokia 500 promised an upgrade in the next few weeks.
The much-awaited OS refresh brings a revamped user interface with an Android-esque pull-down notifications bar, resizable widgets, six customisable home screens and improved navigation across the board.
The web browser been updated for a smoother, faster user experience. And for handsets that support it, such as the C7, there’s support Near Field Communications, too.
Users with any of the smarties listed above can grab the update right now via the Nokia Suite software here.
