The threequel to Samsung’s flagship Galaxy kit could be unveiled next month, a mysterious media event suggests.
It’s a well-known fact Samsung will not announce the Galaxy S3 – at least that’s what we are calling it – at this month’s Mobile World Congress (MWC), but will do so at a separate event to ensure a more synchronised global launch.
Well, if a Samsung Benelux (Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg) press invite is anything to go by, that gathering, the rather cryptically dubbed “Samsung Line-up 2012”, could take place on March 15th in Amsterdam.
Now it’s very likely that this might not have anything to do with phones at all, given that Samsung sells other very successful products too. The South Korean giant is also likely to pick a much grander venue for the hotly awaited announcement, which has traditionally been across the Pond in New York.
Still, we can’t help but feel secretly hopeful it would show up sooner, especially amid rumours the as-yet-unseen smartie could sport a quad core processor and possibly 3D tech.
Whatever the case, we’ll bring you the gen as soon as we know more. So stay tuned.
