Smartfans looking to grab the white edition of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be pleased to know the wait is almost over as the handset is given an official UK release date.
Hot on the heels of this weekend’s snowfall, Sammy has confirmed that the white Galaxy Nexus will be landing on our fair isles on February 13th, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
Aside from the new paintjob, the creamy hued kit is identical to the original model, meaning it’s home to a 4.65-inch HD Super AMOLED display, a 1.2GHz dual core processor and a five-megapixel camera that shoots videos in 1080p HD.
It also runs the latest version of Android (Ice Cream Sandwich) out of the box and comes with a NFC support for making contactless payments and exchanging data between compatible devices.
Simon Stanford of Samsung’s UK & Ireland Telecommunications & Networks Division said: “After much speculation, we are pleased to announce the availability of the Galaxy Nexus White which follows the great reception the phone has received since it was launched back in November.
“One of the things we at Samsung pride ourselves on is the choice we offer customers, and we’ve enjoyed huge success to date by introducing white variants of our most popular models to our product portfolio.”
