HTC Sensation owners on O2 can start counting down the days until they get a taste of Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS), after the carrier announced it plans to push out a software update next month.
Responding to a customer query on Twitter, the network stated it intends to rollout the latest 4.0 version to the original Sensation in mid-April, making O2 the second in line to make it available after Vodafone began upgrading the handset earlier this week.
As with Vodafone, getting ICS will be via a simple to undertake over the air update. So they’ll be none of that messing around with Kies-style proprietary download solutions.
Features the latest version of the OS adds to the phone still aren’t confirmed. But we’d bank on Sensation users being able to look forward to a revamped browser, some performance optimisations and the fun but frankly ineffectual Face Unlock security feature at the very least.
