HTC Sensation owners on Vodafone are in line for a swizzy operating system update to Android 4.0 today, promising to bring some smart new features to the handset.
Voda announced it plans to start upgrading HTC Sensation smarties to the latest Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) version of Android on March 29th via a post on its customer forum.
The network states: “Great news. The testing of the ICS update for HTC Sensation is complete, and we plan to start rolling out the update tomorrow, 29th March.
“The update will be rolled out in phases by the Over The Air service, so if yours doesn’t appear right away, you can either wait for it to appear, or go to Settings > About Phone > Software Update > Check now.”
As well as the new version of HTC’s Sense custom skin, Android 4.0 is expected to add some very welcome improvements to the original Sensation.
Although unconfirmed at the time of writing, we’d expect these to include a revamped, faster browser, the Face Unlock security feature and some performance optimisations.
