A super-high density retina display and quad-core processor are top of iPad buyers’ wishlists, as Apple prepares to unveil its third tilt at a tablet tomorrow.
In a poll conducted by uSwitch Tech, 17.7 per cent identified the HD screen that features on the iPhone 4S and iPhone 4 as the feature they’d most like to see on the third-gen tablet.
Just behind that was the much-mooted brawny A6 quad-core processor with 16.59 per cent of the vote. And in third-place was a longer-life battery, which was number-one priority for 16.9 per cent.
Perhaps surprisingly given the famously refined design sensibilities of Apple fanboys just 12.7 per cent wanted a new look. That’s just a shade more than the 11 per cent who crave expandable memory.
Elsewhere, our poll testified to the still-limited, esoteric appeal of 3D media playback which pulled in just 5.5 per cent. Similarly out of favour with iFans was support for a Galaxy Note-style wireless stylus with a paltry 4.2 per cent.
The survey results - you can check 'em out in full below - come hours ahead of tomorrow’s official iPad 3/iPad HD launch at 6pm UK time.
